Prerequisite: CAMT Massage Certified or Nationally Licensed Massage Therapist with minimum of 500 hours of massage education

Would you like to know how to safely work on a pregnant mom during all three trimesters? This workshop will give you what you need in education, background, intake and pregnancy techniques for a safe and excellent pregnancy massage. Class is evidence-based knowledge eliminating the myths. Knowledge of basic anatomy of each trimester is covered and how to position and work with the changing pregnant body and mind. Learn how to uncover an undiagnosed high risk mom, how to modify the work and when and where NOT to massage. What essential oils are safe and which are not during pregnancy and how to educate pregnant guest for safe use.Intensive practice of specific pregnancy techniques for all trimesters and various pregnancy-related aches and pains will also be covered. Presenter will assist each therapist to develop a full-body pregnancy massage. A $30 (cash only) material fee is payable to the presenter for 8 CE hours and certificate suitable for framing from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), Provider #1007. Please bring lotion or oil, two sets of linens and four firm pillows. Pregnant mom will be provided by presenter.
