(Grades 6 – 8)

Enhance your child’s grammar skills in this exciting, “hands-on” workshop. This workshop will cover the basic structural elements and methodologies of English grammar usage and writing. Participants review and practice concepts including the nature and structure of sentences, basic uses of capitals and punctuation, the types of the most common parts of speech, and how to use dictionaries and reference materials. Class activities will include working on an interactive notebook as well as short videos, grammar jingles, games, and lecture. Learning these invaluable lessons at a young age will help participants with reading more difficult literature, oral and written communication, and writing reports and research papers later on in school.
