The program is an introduction to the ancient art of hand, foot and ear massage. Reflexology is a massage technique that uses reflex points on the hands, feet and ears to stimulate nerve endings relating to other parts of the body.
With a strong desire to help, caregivers often times feel some frustration when it’s not clear what they can do to make a difference for a loved one’s comfort.
Massage can safely be provided for people with cancer, and bodywork therapies are increasingly being used for symptom control and to improve quality of life.
Learn basic Swedish massage and acupressure techniques that will help reduce the tightness and minor aches and pains in the high-tension areas of the head, neck, and shoulders.
Essential Lymphatic Performance™ includes both Eastern and Western approaches on how, when and why you would want to use these techniques.
Reiki is a powerful “hands-on” energy healing technique. This Level I workshop includes the Power Symbol, the Japanese and Western Reiki history, the Basic Hand Positions, Byosen Scanning (intuitive healing), Japanese Healing Techniques, and the Level I attunement.
This Level II workshop will expand the scope of your Reiki abilities. In this workshop you will learn the Mental/Emotional & Distant Symbols and how to use them, how to release unwanted habits, distant healing, more Japanese Healing Techniques and the Level II Attunement.
Ampuku Psoas Release™ deals with the abdomen (or Hara) as both the center of movement & posture and the focus of energy for the whole body. Learn to release the Psoas muscle quickly and painlessly, and explore its relationship to every other area of the body.
Participants will learn to give massage with the client fully clothed in a sitting position. No oil is used. The workshop will focus primarily on the high-tension areas of the neck, shoulders, arms and upper back, including massage strokes as well as acupressure points.
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, “hands-on” method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the craniosacral system – the physiological body system comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
cupressure is the ancient healing art that uses the fingers and thumbs to press key points on the body to stimulate the body’s natural self-curative abilities.
This program introduces the participants to different diseases, their etiology, progression and recovery by each organ system. The emphasis will be put on proper application of massage therapy modalities for different disease status, their effectiveness and contraindications.
