Establish yourself as a Notary Public, earn additional income, $15 per signature, and provide a service to your community. Notary skills are valuable in almost any industry: real estate, legal, medical and banking, to name just a few. Ambitious Notaries gain the skills it takes to become a Loan Signing Agent making $200 to $400 per signing. Our six-hour state approved seminar gives you the knowledge to pass the exam and practice as an effective Notary. You’ll receive two practice tests and take the official Notary exam directly following the seminar. A $35 material fee for the Notary Public Sourcebook is payable to “Notary Public Seminars” at the workshop. *Please refer to the exam requirements in box below.

Please Note: Arrive early. Due to state regulations, no one will be admitted to the classroom after 8:30 am. YOU MUST BE ON TIME when returning to the classroom from break. Refunds will not be issued!

Requirements: Legal resident of California (Military excluded), Age 18+

The Official California State Notary Public Exam will be administered immediately following the preparation workshop for those who wish to take it at that time.Participants must present Certificate of Completion from Notary Public Seminars in order to take the exam.Your test result will be mailed to you two weeks after you take the exam. Live Scan fingerprints are required after you pass the exam. Serious convictions may disqualify applicants. Cooperative Personnel Services will register you for the exam on the day of the seminar between 4:00 – 4:30 pm.The exam will be from 4:45 – 6:00 pm. To take the exam you must bring: 

  • $40 check, money order, or cashier’s check made payable to the Secretary of State (new applicants and renewals) 
  • Valid ID (one of the following) – driver’s license or state DMV ID; Canadian or Mexican driver’s license; U.S.passport or passport issued by a foreign government; U.S.Military ID card 
  • one color passport photo (2″x2″) 
  • two #2 pencils
